David Schmidt serves as CEO and President of The Schmidt Group. Success for his clients can be seen in his achievements which include being a consistent top 10 producer for Grubb & Ellis the largest commercial real estate brokerage firm in Texas. During his tenure he received the Senior Marketing Consultant designation in recognition for consistently high production and exemplification of professional standards and teamwork. While serving as group leader of the Office Division he received the ‘Top Deal Maker’ award from Prudential Real Estate Company. Recently The Schmidt Group was included in the Business Journal’s listing of Who’s Who in Real Estate and The San Diego Daily Transcript ranked the company as one of top 20 real estate firms in San Diego.
David Schmidt devotes his time exclusively to representing companies assisting with lease modifications, renegotiation’s or relocation requirements. The market research is supported by a national firm that maintains a computerized inventory of current information on rental rates, occupancy levels and square footage availability by market. During the past two and one half decades The Schmidt Group has proudly represented over 1,475 companies nationally and completed lease and sale transactions aggregating in excess of 9,800,000 square feet exceeding $746 million in total lease and sales volume.
David Schmidt maintains his awareness and understanding of the real estate market by attending seminars and training programs. He is a candidate for the Certified Commercial-Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is active in numerous civic and community organizations, including the Board of Directors of The University Club of San Diego, Chairman and Founder of The Distinguished Speaker Series and recently has been appointed Chairman of the Business Alliance Committee.
